Wella Professionals is currently
combing the Globe in search of the greatest talents in the hair
industry. The most visionary stylists in North America will compete at
the North American Trend Vision Awards in Hollywood, California this Fall. (Please stay tuned for an announcement of the finalists!)
On Sunday, September 18, 2011, top hair professionals from the US and Canada will be flocking to the Hollywood Palladium between 6pm and 10pm for the North American Competiton of Trend Vision. The stage will be overcome with talent, and a new wave of inspiration will pulsate through the world of hair color and styling. All of the looks will be critiqued by panel of highly regarded judges in the hair industry. The event also includes runway hair shows prepared by the Essensuals London Hairdressing Team (Toni&Guy UK) showing London avantegard looks, edgy hair creations by Sebastian artist Omar Antonio, and ready to wear looks by Nioxin! Additionally, the most successful salons from US and Canada will interpret Wella’s 2011 trends in a “Battle of the Salons.”
The stylists will compete within the Young Talent or Color categories as they interpret the newly released Trend Vision trends, as curated by the Wella Professionals Creative team. Only two of the most passionate and creative stylists will be selected to represent North America against 52 other countries at the International Trend Vision Awards in New York City this October.
The trends that are interpreted each year are created by Wella Professionasls Creative Team, including Global Creative Directors Eugene Souleiman and Josh Wood, who forecast four of the most cutting-edge trends each year. Wella Professionals continues to influence the runways, red carpets, and real life each year as the forecasted Trend Vision looks come to fruition.
We’ve seen all of the 2011 trends interpreted at this point; the latest trend to hit Hollywood is POLARIS - the boldest of the Trend Vision trends which pushes the boundaries of conventional hair design. Polaris is not for the faint hearted and is makes a striking statement, which is why it’s no surprise that Lady Gaga, famous for her bold personality and outlandish ways, has been seen sporting the style. The look is one of contrasting shades, textures and shapes that work together to create an ultra modern and directional style, including sharp, straight lines.
The anticipation is building to see stylists’ inspiration in action as they vie for the chance to compete at the International Trend Vision Awards!
