They have expressed to her how upsetting it is to experience their hair falling out in the shower and chunks of hair coming out when they brush. How their scalps ache and they can’t wear traditional wigs because of how much they hurt. How the experience of loosing hair robbed their confidence and self esteem. How they dreamt at night about still having their lovely hair only to wake up to a nightmare of realizing their hair is gone. One cancer patient shared as she looked in the mirror, she didn’t see herself anymore, she saw a feeble cancer victim. But after she received her natural looking wig from us she felt like a real woman – she felt whole again and her life was less stressful!

Yet the medical industry doesn’t accept hair loss as a vital medical problem and disregards the real distresses endured by so many.

So with that in mind our mission is to produce the Healing Cap Cranial Prosthesis a realistic looking medical wig for those suffering from Alopecia and Cancer to help aid scalps and restore confidence.

What is a Healing Cap® Cranial Prosthesis?

It's a medical wig used to stimulate the scalp and aid infected sebaceous glands in the skin and protect scarred tissue from bacteria, microorganisms-inducing extra collagen production in the scar tissue.

What is a Disposable Healing Cap®?

What is made of?

The Healing Cap Cranial Prosthesis “Medical Wigs” foundation is made of medical formulated polymers that mimics skin. It is flexible, breathable, washable and reusable. Human hair or hair fiber is used on the outer-side of the foundation.

How to use it?

Apply Healing Cap Medical Wig on scalp for a minimum of 4 hours a day up to 4 days. Clean inside of the cap with base cleaner and dry with towel before reapplying. So far patient results have varied from 1 week to 2 months depending on how long the patient wore the wig.

Wear the Healing Cap under your regular wig, hat or scarf to protect your scalp. The cap should be worn for at least 10 hours a day for 3 days. Clean inside of the cap with base cleaner and dry with towel before reapplying.

What sizes we offer?

The Healing Cap Cranial Prosthesis will come in 4 sizes: Children, Adult - small, medium and large. Custom sizes will also be offered. Initially, Healing Cap will come in 2 sizes: Children and Adult.  Later we will offer more sizes.

From the conceptual stage we have done tons of research on developing the Healing Cap® and Healing Cap® Medical Wig.  A few volunteers have tried the first trial version with good feedback. We require the cap to have different strengths for adults and children and have consulted with engineers to sort out issues including accurate materials with formulation and availability for mass production.

A Healing Cap® for every cancer and Alopecia patient with scalp issues
With your support, our objective is to make the Healing Cap® the standard. After the first production run the Healing Caps® will be given to participating physicians and organizations to distribute to hair loss patients for feedback. After we launch eventually physicians, pharmacies and hospitals will make the Healing Cap® accessible to patients.

Why the Healing Cap® Cranial Prosthesis?

It is estimated that approximately two percent of the population will be affected with Alopecia - over 4.5 million people in the United States. Alopecia is a autoimmune disease such as diabetes or lupus that causes a person to lose their hair as the immune system destroys the hair follicles. Hair can fall out in small areas, clumps or may lead to severe hair loss. Anyone can be affected by alopecia. Some people may have an increased risk if they have a family history of the disease. Children and young adults are also commonly affected. Scalp infections and rashes can develop in Alopecia patients.  The Healing Cap Cranial Prosthesis can aid Alopecia sufferers of this common problem.

According to Cancer.org the Estimated cancer prevalence in the United States as of January 1, 2009 is 12,549,000 men and women. Chemotherapy patients can loose their hair as well as develop folliculitis (inflammation of a hair follicle) and head sores. Pampering men at the spa: A top trend for 2013

While typically a day of spa-ing was more female focused, new trends are showing that men want in on the action. Spa Finder Wellness' annual Spa and Wellness Report has named men's spa treatments as one of the top trends to watch in 2013. 

Here's a look at some of the spas that are offering spa treatments that are strictly for dudes.
The Dolder Grand in Zurich is helping men travelers relax with the Gentleman's Spa World package. Available through December 2013, men enjoy a two-night stay at the Dolder Grand, a martini cocktail at the bar, three-course dinner at the Garden Restaurant and three spa treatments at the resort's spa. The package includes the Facial 60-minute Les Hommes by Kerstin Florian, the 60-minute Detoxifying Back Treatment by La Prairie and a 60-minute personal training session, which includes indoor and outdoor activities from biking to jogging.


The Lodge at Doonbeg in Ireland is offering the Pre Golf Massage at the White Horses Spa. The package is focused on specific areas used during a round of golf to avoid injury while playing. For those that prefer to relax after golf, men can try the Elemis for Him Facial which is a booster for tired, stressed skin.

The Spa at Omni Mount Washington Resort offers a variety of treatments for men, including the Golfer's/Skier's Massage, which features trigger-point therapy, deep tissue massage and assisted stretching targeting major muscle groups used in a golf swing or hitting the slopes.
